Green Trounces Boys All-Star Opponents

The Green team hammered Maroon 143-116 and Gold 136-108 to win the championship of the boys two-day all-star tournament. The 143 points scored by Green in the 1st round was an all-star tournament record.

Unfortunately I have been unable to locate a box score for the Green-Maroon final, but in the 1st round, the Green box looked like this:

Jake White, Chaska 21 7 reb
Bretson McNeal, DeLaSalle 20 5 assists 5 steals
Terez Van Pelt, Osseo 18 7 assists 2 steals
Tom Schalk, Apple Valley 16 6 boards
Ryan Sharp, Sebeka 14 2 steals
Marvin Singleton, Hopkins 14 11 rebounds
Jaymerson Moten, NLS 12 8 assists
Nick Latzke, Minnetonka 11
Mike Borowicz, Stephen-Argyle 10 11 boards 2 blocks
Jordan Smith, Orono 7 points, 6 boards, 3 assists, 2 steals

On Friday, Jordan Smith won the 3-point shooting contest for Green and Maroon, while Singleton won the dunk contest among the Green and Maroon.

Second place Gold defeated Blue 95-92 on Friday, then lost to Green 136-108. Joey Sonnenfeld of Osseo won the dunk contest and Marcus Alipate the 3-point shooting contest for the Gold-Blue game. Here is the box for the Friday game, as I have not located a box for the Saturday fame.

Marcus Alipate, Jefferson 23
Cole Olstad, Plainview EM 14 5 reb
Bryan Sprang, Irondale 12 7 reb
Mike Yahnke, Delano 10 8 reb
David Stanley, Roseville 9 10 reb
James Fort, Annandale 8 12 reb 2 blocks 1 steal
Mark Blacklock, Winona 7 9 reb
Calvin Jenkins, Mpls. Roosevelt 6 4 reb
Ben Figini, Chisago Lakes 5 2 steals
Joey Sonnenfeld, Osseo 3

Sonnenfeld appears to have subbed in for Joe Coleman, who was announced as a member of the Gold team but does not appear in the box score. I have no information as to why.

Third-pace Maroon lost to Green on Friday, then defeated Blue 123-121 . Here is the scoring, but for the 1st round loss to Green, as I have not found a box for the win over Blue.

Lucas Brown, Roseville 21
Roosevelt Scott, St. Paul Johnson 21
Malik El-Amin, Mpls. North 15 2 steals
Zach Romashko, Blaine 14 7 reb
Shelby Moats, Waconia 14
Marquel Curtis, Armstrong 11 3 steals
Zach Lofton, Columbia Hts 8
Shane Hennen, Minneota 6 2 steals
Blake Maslonkowski, St. C. Apoll0 3 6 reb 2 steals 2 assists
Jameson Parsons, Eagan 3
Seth Hinrichs, MACCRAY 2 7 reb 3 assists

Finally Blue lost a pair of games to finish 4th. Their box score for Friday night looks like this.
