The feature game of this year's Minnesota Timberwolves Shoot-Out turned out to feature a team with 2 wins and 7 losses. It's a deceptive record because the Greyhounds of Duluth East have taken on all comers--#1 Eastview, #2 Hopkins, Eden Prairie, Minnetonka et al--and they've done it with their best player, guard Johnny Woodard, out with an injury.
Well, Woodard returned to action Saturday at the Target Center and the result was a signature win, 86-74 over Rice Lake (WI). Not only that, but Woodard scored 31 points to just 9 for Rice Lake's Minnesota Gopher recruit Wally Ellenson.
