Chris Palmer Transfers to River Falls

Chris Palmer is leaving St. Mary's University and will be playing ball this season at the University of Wisconsin-River Falls. Combined with the graduation of senior guards Will Wright and Lukas Holland, this leaves the cupboard pretty much bare down in Winona.

Meanwhile the Falcons enter 2011-2012 with high hopes, having earned their 1st NCAA tournament bid ever last year and having 4 starters coming back from that 20-8 team. The one big loss to graduation just happens to be at Palmer's position where local boy Jake Voeltz (of River Falls, that is) has completed his college eligibility. Chief among the returnees is 6-6 senior guard Shane Manor who scored 15 ppg last year with 6 boards, 2 assists and a steal. 6-4 guard Aaron Anderson from Stillwater and 6-7 forward Ollie White from Mound also return.

Palmer played his high school ball at Faribault Bethlehem Academy under coach Franz Boelter.
