March Awards Candidates

Player of the Month: Carlie Wagner

The leader as of Tuesday March 20 is Carlie Wagner, NRHEG girls. Rarely ever has there been a "coming out" like this one. We had begun to hear about Carlie Wagner as the season went along. Still, nobody was prepared for what we saw. First, in Rebekah Dahlman's big game--the game in which Dahlman broke Tayler Hill's career scoring record--Wagner rained all over Dahlman's parade. She out-scored Dahlman 43-25 and, more to the point, so did her team by the ridiculous score of 75-45.

After an "off-game" against Sauk Centre (thanks to the incredible defense of Jenna Klaphake), Wagner came back with a tournament record 48 points in the third place game won by NRHEG, for a record total of 112 points in 3 games. She is a sophomore.
